If true it would mean they've broken FIFA rules by even talking to him. English clubs cannot negotiate with Reid without West Ham's permission. Clubs outside the FA can negotiate with the player directly.

You cannot blame any player for wanting to maximise their income and chances of honours in what is a short career. However, there has IMHO, to show integrity as a man, to be some recognition of the support and opportunity his current club has shown? I have always felt that about companies i have worked for if I have been with them for over 4 or 5 years or more. I might have moved for more wedge etc.. but always wanted to show some respect.
A move to Spurs would be the only club that could undermine that. He would lose the respect of any West Ham fan for that. You just do not make that move. Anywhere else is ok IMHO. Its all rumours of course but I truly hope he does not make his way to them. He knows what he will get from our fanbase if he does show disrespect to our badge which by its nature means disrespect to us fans. Ask Ince, Defoe, Lamps. Ok they have the money and may say they do not care but from my experience no one really wants to be despised however wealthy or successful they become.
We shall see how things unfold for Winston over the next 6 - 9 months :-)

Rather than boo Reid for the rest of the season, I'd be tempted to do what happened to Morrison,send him out on loan if that's acceptable to both parties. Sad how his career at West Ham is ending, but you could tell from his body language in New Zealand last summer he wasn't happy at the club.

Mirror Sport now saying that he's agreed a £60k/wk deal to join Spuds for free in the summer. If true that would be very disappointing.

If there was a lot of competition to sign him it would make sense to buy him rather than wait, but seeing as no-one has bid for him this season I'd guess he isn't a top target for big clubs.

They've spent 40m on two CB's in the last two seasons and have Skrtel, if they did want him it would probably only be as 4th choice.
I don't think he'd get regular football at any of the top 6 sides.
